Katy Perry has a hilarious reaction to her unfortunate wardrobe malfunction
She was singing on American Idol
Just a few weeks after revealing we've all been singing her hit 'Firework' wrong for years, Katy Perry has had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction on American Idol.
The pop star was on stage singing 'Teenage Dream' when it seems like life sometimes really does imitate art, as she sang the lyrics: "I'ma get your heart racing in my skin-tight jeans", before ripping her trousers as she squatted down.
As the audience heard the rip, Katy stopped singing to put her hand on her bottom, and ask: "Can I get some tape? Some gaffer tape?" The camera then cut to show the singer's rip covered in bright yellow gaffer tape. 🙈
However, being a true professional, this mishap didn't stop Katy from pointing fun at herself, choosing to share a video of the moment to her own social media accounts, quoting the lyrics of her hit 'Teenage Dream', writing: 'ima get ur heart racing in my skin-tight jeans on #americanidol tonight 👀 tune in now for a RIPPING good time 🤪'. (sic)
This isn't the first time Katy has had a mishap on the popular reality show, back in 2018, the 'Dark Horse' singer fell flat on her face after joining a contestant to dance during their audition. Don't worry, she was fine and also managed to style it out.
