Kanye West On Wireless Festival Boos: 'The Media Twist Everything'
The rapper launched into tirades on stage
Kanye West has hit out at the media after he was booed TWICE at Wireless Festival at the weekend.
The marmite rapper angered fans when, wearing a mask, he launched into a 15-minute tirade against the fashion industry during his headline set at London’s Finsbury Park on Friday night (4th July).
Incredibly, filling in for an ill Drake the following night Kanye was booed once again when he compared the paparazzi intrusion into his life to violation.
“Sex is great when you and your partner are like, ‘Hey, this is what we both want to do’,” he said.
“But if one of those people don't want to do that, what is that called? That's called rape. That is called violation.
“So if I walk around and say look sir, I’m not feeling so good today, I need some space, can you please not f*** with me today? I need cut-off space, not violation.”
After Kanye was widely condemned in the press at his third and final Wireless appearance in Birmingham last night, the rapper turned on the press themselves.
"It doesn't matter what I say, from the top of my mind to the bottom of my heart there is nothing they can do to stop me," he said at the start of his set.
"The media wrote that people booed. And you know what. I'm not going to lie, I'm not invincible," he ranted.
"It hurt me a little bit because I knew how much of a good time that everyone had.
"I'm sorry that I'm not a complete belligerent a**e that I normally am, but I will be back."
Mercifully for the Perry Park crowd, Kanye’s rant only lasted five minutes.
