Iggy Azalea, Ed Sheeran & Taylor Swift Win Big at People’s Choice Awards

The awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles last night

Iggy Azalea, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift were among the big name winners at the 41st People’s Choice Awards last night.

Held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the annual event celebrates the best in television, film and music across 2014.

One of the undoubted stand out stars of the show, Iggy Azalea wowed with a confident live performance of ‘Beg For It’ and was also crowned Favourite Hip-Hop Artist.

Not letting losing out to Taylor Swift in the Favourite Female Artist category, Iggy said in her short Hip-Hop Artist acceptance speech: “I didn't expect this so I wrote nothing, but it's not wasted on me so thank you very much.”

Despite not being present at the ceremony, the unstoppable Taylor Swift dominated the night winning ‘Favourite Song’ for ‘Shake It Off’ and Favourite Pop Artist on top of her Female Artist Honour.

Ed Sheeran won Favourite Album for ‘X’ and was named Favourite Male Artist, while Maroon 5 (Favourite Group), 5 Seconds of Summer (Favourite Breakout Artist) and Pharrell Williams (Favourite R&B Artist) also triumphed.

Other winners outside of the music categories included Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Evans, Chloë Grace Moretz, Robert Downey Jr, Ellen DeGeneres, David Tennant and 93-year-old Betty White.
