Ed Sheeran has told In:Demand that Simon Cowell has texted him with some very bad news.
The ‘Don’t’ singer spent an eighth consecutive week at number one on Sunday with his album ‘x’ becoming the joint longest chart-topping male solo artist in UK chart history alongside James Blunt with ‘Back To Bedlam’.
However, that amazing chart run looks likely to end this weekend as Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro unleash their debut album ‘Stars’.
Speaking to In:Demand backstage at V Festival, Ed said Simon personally texted him to apologise for ending the record-breaking streak. Hear what he said here:
