N-Dubz star Dappy has been hospitalised after a horse kicked him in the face.

The 26-year-old singer – real name Costadinos Contostavlos - was riding the animal in the grounds of his Hertfordshire home on Wednesday afternoon (27th November) when it reared up.

Dappy fell to the ground and the horse is believed to have stamped on his face in the kerfuffle. In agony, he was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “Dappy sees himself as a bit of a Lord of the Manor and he was cantering around when the horse reared up suddenly.

“He was left sprawled on the ground, and to make matters even worse, the horse then stamped on his face. There was blood everywhere.”

Terry Mills from Dappy’s management team Big Talent Group said: “I can confirm that my client was involved in a horse riding accident at home where he fell from his horse and was subsequently kicked in the face.

“Dappy was rushed to hospital where he received medical treatment and is now recovering.”

Since the painful incident, Dappy has been active on Twitter and has confirmed that a club show in Newcastle tonight is going ahead as planned.
