Just days after performing at the UK's biggest dance music festival, Creamfields, the Swedish DJ announces he will be postponing all remaining dates this year.
It feels a bit like déjà vu as the 'Waiting For Love' DJ did a similar thing last September, at the time citing health problems.
This time his health hasn't been given as a reason for postponing his shows, instead according to Billboard the DJ's reps have said it is due to "an overloaded summer schedule, the pressures of delivering his sophomore album Stories and his directorial debut on two music videos."
Avicii told Billboard “in moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to – normal, or as normal as it could get.”
Later this year Avicii was due to perform at high profile clubs in Las Vegas as well as a couple of festivals in Asia.
Despite postponing his gigs Avicii has released two music videos, 'Pure Grinding' and 'For a Better Day'.
Downtown Radio's Lydia Batham spoke to Avicii last week about his new single and album, when he described Coldplay's Chris Martin as "a big brother", listen to the full interview below.
