They are some of the biggest artists in the world, but that doesn't mean they can't support each other when it comes to massive arena or stadium tours! Whether it's the unlikely team-ups such as Girls Aloud and Coldplay, or industry BFFs like Anne-Marie and Ed Sheeran, and Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi, all these stars have opened for each other on tour.

Of course, some of these artists who were just starting their careers at the time, went on to storm the charts across the world, in some cases outshining the stars they once opened for.

Check out all of artists you didn't know supported each other on tour:

Little Mix supported Ariana Grande

Little Mix girls Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock supported American singer Ariana Grande on the North American leg of her 'Dangerous Woman' tour in 2017.

Camila Cabello supported Taylor Swift

She's a massive star in her own right, so fans were in for a treat when Camila Cabello joined Taylor Swift's 'Reputation Tour' in 2018.

As well as supporting Taylor and even singing with her during some shows, Camila was also in the middle of her own 'Never Be The Same Tour' at the same time.

Rita Ora supported Coldplay

Rita Ora joined British band Coldplay on their 'Mylo Xyloto' stadium tour in 2012, belting out hits like 'Hot Right Now' and 'R.I.P'.

Lewis Capaldi was due to support Niall Horan

Lewis Capaldi and former One Direction singer Niall Horan have become the best of friends in recent years, with many fans urging the pair to collab!

In late 2019 it was announced that Lewis would be supporting Niall on the North American leg of his 'Nice To Meet Ya' tour, however the shows were postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Girls Aloud supported Coldplay

As well as embarking on their own amazing tours over the years, Girls Aloud supported British band Coldplay at Wembley back in 2009, for two consecutive nights alongside Jay-Z.

Anne-Marie supported Ed Sheeran

Brit pop stars Anne-Marie and Ed Sheeran have become great friends since they both shot to fame! Anne-Marie joined Ed on his '÷' tour in Europe in 2017/2018 and said it was great to hang out with him, describing him as a "cool person".

Rihanna supported the Pussycat Dolls

Believe it or not, before she dropped hits like 'Umbrella', 'What's My Name' and 'We Found Love', Rihanna was the support act for American band the Pussycat Dolls on their world tour in 2005.

Lady Gaga supported the Pussycat Dolls

Following in the footsteps of Rihanna, just years later Lady Gaga also joined the Pussycat Dolls on your, opening for the band on their European legs in 2009.

The Script supported Adele

They are both HUGE artists now, but back in 2009 The Script opened for Adele during the North American leg of her 'An Evening with Adele' tour.

Jess Glynne supported The Spice Girls

She's one of the most successful female artists of our generation, but that didn't stop Jess Glynne live out her dream and support The Spice Girls on their reunion tour back in 2009.

Reports suggest Jess bagged a massive £1.3 million on the 13-show tour!

The Saturdays supported Girls Aloud

When Girls Aloud toured the country for the fourth time, with their 'Tangled Up Tour' in 2008, up and coming girl band The Saturdays joined the girls as the support act.

Little Mix supported Demi Lovato

As well as supporting Ariana Grande, British girl band Little Mix also joined former Disney star Demi Lovato on tour back in 2014, opening the show on her 'Neon Lights Tour'.

They weren't alone though, Fifth Harmony and Cher Lloyd were also announced as Demi's support acts at the same show.

The Wanted supported One Direction

Just as One Direction fever was hitting the world, fellow boy band The Wanted joined Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik on their 'Up All Night Tour' in 2011/2012.

Rak-Su supported Little Mix

After winning The X Factor back in 2017, Rak-Su were announced as the opening act for Little Mix's 'Summer Hits Tour' in 2018, performing at massive outdoor venues across the UK.

Ellie Goulding supported Katy Perry

In 2011, Ellie Goulding replaced fellow pop star Jessie J as the opening act for Katy Perry on her 'California Dreams' tour, after poor Jessie injured her foot.

Ellie Goulding supported Bruno Mars

One year later, Ellie then joined Bruno Mars on his 'The Moonshine Jungle Tour'. Ellie was selected to support Bruno on the North American legs.

Calvin Harris supported Rihanna

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has worked with some of the biggest artists on the planet, including Rihanna! So fans were in for a treat back in 2010 when he supported RiRi on her 'Loud Tour'.
