Rapper 50 Cent looks certain to score his first ever UK number one single with his Eminem and Adam Lavine collaboration ‘My Life’.

According to the Official Charts Company, the track is currently heavily outselling last week’s number one, will.i.am and Britney Spears’ ‘Scream and Shout’, as it closes in on the chart crown.

Featuring rapping from 50 Cent’s close friend Eminem and a catchy chorus from Maroon 5’s Adam Lavine, ‘My Life’ is the first taster of 50 Cent’s fifth studio album ‘Street King Immortal’ which lands in late February.

Justin Timberlake’s slick new track ‘Suit & Tie’ which sees him join musical forces with Jay-Z is currently the second highest new entry at three.

Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ (featuring Mikky Ekko) are at four and five respectively.

Over on the album chart, the soundtrack to Tom Hooper’s movie adaptation of Les Miserables is currently number one ahead of Emeli Sande’s ‘Our Version Of Events’.

50 Cent’s previous biggest chart entry in the UK was ‘Ayo Technology’ with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland which hit number two in 2007.
