The upcoming Barbie movie has got fans feeling all kinds of nostalgia, and as the release date grows closer, starring actress Margot Robbie - who plays the iconic Barbie herself - has surprised fans with some behind-the-scenes insights. Opening up about her titular role, the actress has now revealed just how she executed the viral 'foot scene'.

In case you don't know what we're talking about, a stand-out moment from the Barbie trailer shows her character step out of her bright pink heels, only for her feet to remain completely arched - creating an exact CGI-worthy imitation of a real life Barbie doll.

But now, Margot has revealed that there was in fact no CGI involved, and that "they are my feet". With the help of some double-sided tape and a bar to hold on to, Margot actually executed the whole scene naturally.

Speaking to Fandango, alongside her co-stars Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae and America Ferrera, Margot admitted that the scene took: "Probably about eight takes," before revealing: "They are my feet!"

She continued: "I walked up, we had little sticky bits on the floor, for the double-sided tape for the shoes so they wouldn’t come off – so I could get my feet out of them.

"I was holding onto a bar, but that’s it. I wasn’t in a harness or anything like that. I just walked up, kind of held onto the bar above camera."

The actress then revealed that she did Ballet when she was younger, which may help explain her impeccable foot-form!

The Barbie movie is set for release on 21st July 2023, and following the release of the official trailer in May, it's fair to say that fans cannot wait for the release.

Starring Margot Robbie as Barbie, the film features an all-star cast, including the likes of Ryan Gosling (Ken), America Ferrera (Gloria), Sex Education's Emma Mackey (Physicist Barbie) and Doctor Who's Ncuti Gatwa (Other Ken).
