The X Factor's Scarlett Lee is engaged after boyfriend proposed in a graveyard

There's a heartbreaking reason behind it...

The X Factor's Scarlett Lee has revealed that she's now ENGAGED after her boyfriend Nathan Shaw proposed over the weekend. The 21-year-old, who came second to Dalton Harris in The X Factor last year, posted on Twitter and Instagram to reveal that boyfriend Nathan had proposed in a cemetery graveyard - and opened up about the heartbreaking reason why.

Taking to Instagram, Scarlett shared a video of the moment alongside the caption, 'He asked I Said YESSS! 💍 For what God Has Joined Together Let No One Separate! There’s no other place I would rather of done this, my granny and grandad are my whole world and I’ve been so sad they weren’t here to see me on the x factor but he made this so special I’m so happy I love Nathan future MRS SHAW💍💍❤️❤️❤️.' sic

In the video, Scarlett and Nathan initially look as though they're posing for a photo next to the gravestones of Scarlett's grandparents, but Nathan quickly gets down on one knee to an absolutely stunned Scarlett, who initially thinks he's joking.

As she realises he's being serious, Scarlett becomes emotional and teary, before saying yes and sharing a kiss with her new fiancée.

Of course, fans were over the moon for the pair, and wrote messages of congratulations for the couple under the video. One wrote, 'Your lovely heart deserves happiness. Wish you blessings and may God bless your union always and be your guard and guide and a source of pure shining bright light in all seasons of life experiences.'

Scarlett also took to her Instagram Story to open up about the proposal, sharing a snap of the moment and writing, 'Omg he knows how much I wished my granny and grandad was with me on my journey but this has made me feel the luckiest girl in the world! We are engaged!' sic
