Imagine waiting for a train and two come along at once. This is exactly what happened to trainspotter Ryan Allen who had set up a camera to take a picture of the world famous steam locomotive, The Flying Scotsman.

Ryan drove 50 miles to Little Bytham and waited nearly an hour to catch a picture of the train on its journey from London to York.

But his potentially beautiful photo was ruined by a passing Virgin train.

He shared the moment on Twitter with the caption ‘I had a feeling this would happen’.

However the train company then apologised to him and offered him a free train trip to the US to see one of the famous rail networks in Georgia.

His video has more than 2000 retweets and likes.

The train will stay in the National Railway Museum in York until the 6th March before embarking on a tour of the country.
