Last night saw One Direction perform their first gig in London on their current tour.

Despite being seasoned entertainers the 'On the Road Again' gig at the O2 wasn't without problems as the boys had to fill time while the sound desk rebooted.

Caught on video while the band struggled with sound one of them can be heard saying "O2 Arena, I'm so sorry, can we have a big 'ahhh'?"

Niall can then be seen to 'give up' and roll on his back. He told the fans "we've performed all over the world and this has never happened".

After a short while the boys then break into an acoustic version of their top 10 single 'Night Changes', which was the last to feature Zayn Malik.

Despite the technical difficulties the 20,000 strong crowd praised the group for overcoming their sound problems and many took to Twitter posting their thoughts and videos.

In the video below watch the boys perform their song 'Infinity' unplugged.

After the show Niall tweeted to apologise to his fans saying, "First of 6 shows at that incredible arena ... Sorry about the technical problems".
