WATCH: Nadia Sawalha reveals miscarriage trauma
Actress said she was 'so strange' after her third miscarriage.
Nadia Sawalha has opened up about the trauma of having a miscarriage on Loose Women.
It's as the panel discussed whether parents should be approached about organ donation if they lose a baby.
Offering her opinion on the topic, Nadia revealed that she couldn’t have imagined facing the decision after suffering a miscarriage.
She said "I remember when I had my third miscarriage, and I actually had it at home and delivered it. I was just not right in my head. Now, I don't know what would have happened if somebody had come and asked me at that point 'cause I was just so strange."
She added, "I was just about four and a half months gone, I actually kept the fetus in the freezer because I didn't want it to go anywhere.
“And that was because there's that connection, that sort of lioness still comes out. I wasn't able to do anything, I wasn't able to protect. I'm not ready to let go. Eventually we had a burial for it."
Nadia was one of the original panel members when the show began in 1999 and left after her first child was born, though she later returned to the programme in 2013.
The former Eastenders actress is currently married to TV producer Mark Adderley and has two children, 13-year-old Maddy and seven-year-old Kiki.
