Tulisa Contostavlos Guilty of Assaulting Man at V Festival
She was fined £200 at Stretford Magistrates Court
Tulisa Contostavlos has been found guilty of assaulting a man at V Festival last August.
The 26-year-old former N-Dubz singer and X Factor judge pleaded not guilty back in May to attacking showbiz blogger Savvas Morgan at the Essex leg of the festival.
However, she was found guilty at Stretford Magistrates’ Court in East London this morning and was fined £200.
In total Tulisa was ordered to pay £3,020 - including the fine, £2,700 contribution towards the prosecution costs, £100 compensation to Savvas Morgan and a £20 victim surcharge.
Her PA Gareth Varey was cleared of using threatening behaviour in the incident.
On Monday, Tulisa’s drugs trial, where she was accused of brokering a cocaine deal for undercover reporter, collapsed when the judge said there were “strong grounds to believe” that journalist Mazher Mahmood has lied during his testimony.
Tulisa had always denied being involved in the alleged deal, which was splashed on the front page of The Sun on Sunday in 2013.
Mike GLC – real name Michael Coombs – had earlier pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine but also walked free when the judge said the case cannot proceed against him.
