Tributes paid to TOWIE star Mick Norcross after tragic death aged 57

Former TOWIE star Mick Norcross has tragically passed away aged 57.

The Sugar Hut nightspot owner and father of Kirk Norcross was found dead at his home in Bulphan, Essex at 3.15pm on 21st January 2021, with Essex Police confirming his death is not being treated as suspicious.

On the morning of his passing, Mick posted a message on Twitter reading, 'At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough.'

Mick's TOWIE co-stars and fans soon paid tribute to the late businessman, with Mario Falcone writing that he was 'Shocked and heartbroken.'

Mario later wrote on Instagram, 'This one is very hard to accept. I had so much respect and admiration for this man. I had the honour of filming with him a lot on Towie and also to be good friends away from the show.

'When I went through my battle with depression and suicide you were the only one from the whole show that reached out and cared about me. You were someone I looked upto and held in the highest regard. The thought of you going through the same pain and emotional darkness I did breaks my heart.

'You will be sorely missed by so many!

'Thank you for the many memories in the sugar hut, the wild parties, the advice and dropping me off to get my R8. The world has lost a very good man.

'RIP Mick Norcross ❤️'

TOWIE star Gemma Collins also paid tribute to her former co-star, writing, 'ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN 💔absolutely shocked and saddened by the news💔 my thoughts and prayers are going out to Kirk family and friends absolutely tragic #ripmicknorcross the memories of the early days the sugar hut and the wonderful filming parties you put on will never be forgotten 💔 you never know what someone is going through you was one of the good guys 😞'. (sic)

Gemma's on/off boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent paid his respects on his Instagram Story, writing, 'A true gentleman and a very kind man. RIP Mick. Many amazing memories, so sad. My thoughts are with his family.'

Friend Russell Quirk said, 'Sad to learn of the death of @micky_norcross - a true #Essex legend gone too soon', while Elliott Wright and Celebrity Big Brother star Jess Impiazzi both shared broken heart emoji following the news.

Ibiza Weekender star Jordan Davies paid his tributes, saying, 'RIP Mick', with Bobby Norris sharing a poignant post urging followers to seek support if they're experiencing mental health struggles.

Bobby wrote, 'Please share this as you never know who may need to see it.. 🖤'.

TOWIE original Amy Childs shared her shock at the news this morning, writing, 'Waking up today No words. A true gentleman, I will miss you mick 😢'. (sic)

The official account of Sugarhut nightclub in Essex, wrote, 'So sad to hear the news today of the passing of Mr Sugarhut @micky_norcross A very talented, friendly and fun guy, who made a huge mark on Brentwood. A true Essex legend who will be sorely missed, our condolences to his family and friends at this sad time. RIP Mick ❤️💔'.

Speaking to Daily Star, Essex Police confirmed the devastating news of Mick's passing.

They said, "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

"Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
