Tom Walker was up for the hugely-coveted Song of the Year award at the BRIT Awards 2020 on Tuesday 18th Feb, and despite losing out to Lewis Capaldi, Tom was in great spirits as he joined us for a chat on the red carpet.

We caught up with the 'Leave A Light On' hitmaker to discuss the nomination - and Tom was incredibly humble about his huge successes.

"To win last year and then to be nominated again is unbelievable," he gushed. "The amount of talent that will be walking through this carpet tonight, feeling very lucky, very blessed.

"I always feel like the guy who's somehow stolen a ticket and sneaked his way in. I'm essentially wearing what is a windbreaker and a beanie, because it's Storm Dennis out there, and I've stuck in and then there's people interviewing me and that's kind of how it feels."

Tom also revealed he was excited about seeing Billie Eilish perform, and he's checked out the new Bond song a few times, adding, "Adele and Sam Smith have done the James Bond franchise absolutely proud."

So will we see Tom do the theme tune anytime soon?

"If they're out there watching this, I'm available for the next Bond theme tune, now and for the next thirty years, give me a call!"

It's also going great for Tom personally after his long-term girlfriend Annie accepted his proposal. When we caught up at Hits Live he revealed 'Better Half Of Me', is about Annie. Tom said that as they live in London, he'll have to wait until they've got somewhere before getting married as otherwise it might "bankrupt" him! 😂
