Tom Hardy chases thief in full 'superhero' mode

It seems that playing a superhero has rubbed off on Tom Hardy in real-life after he reportedly caught a thief in London over the weekend.

According to a national newspaper, the Hollywood actor, known for playing Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, sprinted after a man who was seen stealing a moped, which later crashed into a Mercedes car worth around £50,000.

After seeing the incident happen Tom gave chase through gardens and a building site in the Richmond area of London, eventually catching the thief before handing him over to the police.

A witness said, "It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie" telling a national newspaper, "Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious."

Tom has starred in some fantastic films and won countless awards for them, read Bedtime Stories on CBeebies and now chased a thief through the streets of London.

Is there anything Tom can't do?!

What a hero!
