Stacey Dooley has split from her boyfriend of three years Sam Tucknott, just months after winning Strictly Come Dancing. The show’s infamous Strictly Curse has seemingly struck again, as rumours of a strain on their relationship first started circulating while Stacey was competing with professional dancer Kevin Clifton.

Then, following her intense training regime during filming, Stacey jetted straight off on the live tours with new partner Aljaz Skorjanec and the rest of the crew for the nationwide run.

"Stacey confided in her friends that she was struggling to hold down her romance with Sam because her life has been a whirlwind after Strictly," said a source.

"She barely saw him during the month-long tour and has gone straight back into filming documentaries and has been travelling all over the world.

"Their lives have just gone in different directions. They have a close circle of friends who hope things might yet work out, but it’s not looking likely. It was very emotional and has been tough on them both."

Stacey has mainly kept her relationship with personal trainer Sam out of the limelight, with Sam most recently featuring on his famous girlfriend’s Instagram ahead of his 30th birthday last September.

"My boys ❤️," wrote Stacey alongside a sweet snap of Sam and their English bulldog Bernie snuggled up together. 'It’s ST Sam Tucknott’s 30th next week. True to form, I’ll be at work.

'Love you sweetheart.

'Forever grateful for your patience.'

But it seems as though Sam’s patience has now worn thin as Stacey's friendship with Kevin reportedly weighed too heavily on their relationship.

“Stacey and Kevin were never anything more than pals, but Sam found it quite hard to watch at times. There was this attractive, single man spending so much time with his girlfriend. Watching them doing those sensual, sexy routines was tough for him.

“When Stacey left the show he thought things would improve but he’s struggled to keep up with her as she’s so focused on her career at the moment."
