Sad news!

Whilst it seems as though thousands of celebrity couples are reuniting recently (Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Moretz to name a few), one famous reality TV pairing have seemingly called it quits.

Original Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei and her DJ boyfriend Joel Corry have reportedly split after five years together.

"They have split,ā€ a source told a national newspaper.

ā€œIt's been rocky for a while but it's over. I don't think she wants to talk about it too much as it's been very on and off, but it's over right now."

This comes after Sophie hinted that the relationship had ended at the MTV EMAs on Sunday night.

ā€œRumours are rumoursā€¦ but I just want to concentrate on me now,ā€ she told OK! at the event.

ā€œIā€™m getting a lot older, Iā€™m 28 now, I started Geordie Shore when I was 21.ā€

Sophie went on to reveal things were ā€˜complicatedā€™.

The news comes after Sophie shared a message about Joel to her Instagram page back in August. She wrote, 'The core to my Apple šŸŽ 6 years ago I met this production intern who worked at MTV and I never thought down the line we would be working together back at MTV doing all fun things .... @joelcorry šŸ’ŖšŸ½ā¤'. sic

The couple met six years ago, when Sophie was filming Geordie Shore and Joel was a production intern at MTV.

Joel later joined Sophie in the Geordie Shore house several times over the years and they recently appeared together on Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bearā€™s MTV show Just Tattoo Of Us.
