Simon talks about Cheryl and Liam's romance
The X Factor boss weighed in on their relationship.
Simon Cowell has weighed in on Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s new romance with Liam Payne, saying they’re ‘madly in love’.
Speaking to a national newspaper he said: “I saw them together and we had a really nice dinner.
“They were on good form. They're like two little chipmunks madly in love. Literally they were so cute.
“But importantly they both seemed very happy over here and very relaxed. I'm happy for them.”
He then admitted he hadn’t had any suspicions that the two were an item until he read about it in the media.
Liam and Cheryl seemed to confirm rumours that they were dating when they posted a loved up picture on Instagram in March.
Since then the pair have been spotted out and about together and reportedly went over to America to see Simon Cowell, with other sources saying that Cheryl’s even moved into Liam's £5.1million mansion.
The relationship seems to be going from strength to strength and Liam’s cousin, Ross Harris, has predicted that the two could get married very soon. Liam also publicly called The X Factor judge his 'favourite woman in the world'.
However Cheryl still needs to divorce Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini, who she married in July 2014 but reportedly split from last year.
