Oscars Selfie Gets The Simpsons Treatment
Matt Groening recreates the world-famous Bradley Cooper shot
Simpsons creator Matt Groening has given the world-famous Oscars selfie a cartoon reworking!
Shared on the official Simpsons Twitter page this morning, the zoomed out parody sees Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Meryl Street, Bradley Cooper, Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong'o and Jared Leto get transformed into trademark Simpsons characters.
The pic also sees Bart Simpson’s hair just about get in on the action and Bradley Cooper keep Homer at a safe distance using his foot.
Ellen DeGeneres’s tweet of the original selfie has now been shared a record-breaking 3.24million times – dwarfing Barack Obama’s previous record of 781,000 rewteets for his famous Four More Years tweet back in November 2012.
The Oscars also had its biggest TV audience of the past decade Stateside with over 43million tuning into the show.
Alfonso Cuaron’s space epic Gravity won seven awards on the night, while Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave won the biggest honour, Best Motion Picture.
