Former Strictly Come Dancing stars Ola and James Jordan have revealed some exciting baby news following the cancellation of their UK tour. The couple were recently forced to cancel their tour after James had an injury, however, despite not planning the break, Ola has revealed that it’s ‘time to start the next chapter’ in her life and try for the couple’s first child.

The couple, who married in 2013, had been due to take part in a 25 date tour of the UK with their dancing show 'Uncensored' but were forced to postpone after James received medical advice about an injury he sustained. At the time of cancelling James shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram page.

It read, 'I can’t believe I’m writing this and it breaks my heart.... but unfortunately myself and @olajordan have to postpone our tour. Whilst putting choreography together for the tour, I suffered a double inguinal hernia which I had to have an operation on. I thought I would recover in time to do the tour but I’m still not right. My surgeon has strongly recommended we postpone the tour so I can make full recovery and not risk any long term damage.

'This was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my career especially because we were so excited to dance together again. Everyone has been so understanding and we have had so many kind messages already which means a lot.'

He continued, 'I feel terrible I have let so many people down especially the amazing cast of dancers we had lined up from all round the world. I can’t even begin to tell you how fantastic they are, totally blew my mind. I believe everything happens for a reason although I don’t know what that reason is yet..... All of you who bought tickets, firstly thank you for your support.

'I have been told you will receive a full refund and again I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Not much more to say except I will make a full recovery and this is a small thing compared to what some people are going through in the world. I will come back better and stronger and please continue to support us both in any of our future endeavours.'

However, it seems the Jordans, who have been together for 18 years, are now going to turn this negative into a positive and use the unexpected time off to start a family.

James appeared on Strictly Come Dancing between 2006 and 2013, and wife Ola featured on the show from 2006 until 2015. James most recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.

Ola is currently a judge on the Polish version of Dancing with the Stars.

Former The Saturdays singer Mollie King was the first contestant to be revealed for the 2017 series.


Speaking ahead of her time on the show, she said, "I'm a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing so I can't actually believe I'm lucky enough to be taking part in it this year! I'm literally so excited to learn latin and ballroom dancing, and of course I can't wait to get into the sequins."


Mollie first shot to fame when she joined girl band The Saturdays and enjoyed great success with hits such as 'Work', 'Up' and 'What About Us'.
