Love Island's Megan Barton Hanson blames 'fame-hungry' ex Wes Nelson for split

She also slammed Dancing On Ice bosses for their part in it

Love Island's Megan Barton Hanson was in one of the longest relationships from last year's series up until last week, when she split from Wes Nelson. The couple, who came fourth in the competition, announced they'd parted ways in one of the most bizarre split statements in celeb history, but vowed to 'co-parent' their hamster Jon Snow and remain friends.

However, Megan has now hit out at her ex-boyfriend, blaming him and the Dancing On Ice bosses for their split and claims that he's "wrapped up in fame" and "didn't love her back."

In an interview with OK! magazine, Megan said, "Our ambitions and goals in life are very different - Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble, but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much," before adding that she'd "fought and fought" for their relationship but claimed that Wes "doesn't love me back."

But it wasn't just Wes that Megan is blaming the split on - she's also got a bone to pick with the producers of Dancing On Ice as she's livid they paired him with Vanessa Bauer, who she called "the hottest girl."

"The fact that the producers deliberately stirred things up by partnering Wes with the youngest, hottest girl annoyed me," she fumed, and was particularly angered by judge Jason Gardiner, who called Wes and Vanessa a "lovely couple."

Although Wes hasn't been addressing the break-up publicly as much as Megan, he did share a cryptic post about being happy last week, writing, 'Being happy is a way of life, not a destination.'
