After relationship rumours had been surrounding Max George and Maisie Smith for weeks, fans were thrilled when The Wanted singer officially confirmed his romance with the former EastEnders actress in early September.

The couple started dating earlier this year after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020. As Maisie is now taking part in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical, Max shared a sweet message of support on his Instagram Story.

Posting a photo of himself kissing her forehead with a big red heart emoji, the singer wrote: 'So proud of my girl. She's UNREAL in @strictlyballroomtouruk Love you baby'. (sic)

This isn't the first time Max has posted the EastEnders star on his socials, as she shared a photo of them kissing on her Instagram Story with a sweet message to mark Max's 34th birthday. He reposted the Story to his own page and thanked her.

This post, along with him adding her name to his Instagram bio was how Max officially confirmed his new relationship.

He has since posted her to his Instagram, with a mirror selfie of the two and the caption: 'Mine🖤'. To which she replied in the comments: 'My world 🖤'.

Strictly Ballroom: The Musical is touring across the UK and Ireland from September 2022 through to 2023. As well as starring Maisie, Strictly professional dancer Kevin Clifton is also taking part, with judge Craig Revel Horwood directing.

According to the official website, the musical is about: 'Arrogant, rebellious young ballroom dancer, Scott Hastings (Kevin Clifton). When his radical and daring dance style sees him fall out of favour with Australian Federation, he must dance with beginner, Fran (Maisie Smith). Together they find the courage to defy tradition and discover that to win, your steps don’t need to be strictly ballroom!'. (sic)

The actress is also appearing on the latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, alongside the likes of former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard, Ferne McCann and 2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill.
