Line of Duty star Martin Compston and his wife Tianna have revealed they are expecting their first child. The couple stepped out at Henley Festival together and Tianna, 32, showed off her blossoming baby bump in a fitted dress.

The Scottish actor has starred as D.S Steve Arnott on much loved BBC series Line of Duty since it first aired in 2012. The show has gone on to have five series and has starred some of the biggest names in the industry, including Thandie Newton, Stephen Graham and Keeley Hawes.

Martin, 35, is reported to be paid £250,000 per series of the show.

The couple met at a hotel in LA, where Tianna was working as a nightclub manager. They tied the knot in 2016 at the Compston family chapel in Greenock, Renfrew and now call Las Vegas their home – where Tianna’s mother, a celebrated member of the US Air Force, lives nearby.

Speaking about leaving his wife behind to film the hit show, Martin has previously revealed he finds being separated from Tianna a struggle.

OCG - Organised Crime Group: Serious crime planned, coordinated and conducted by people working together on a continuing basis, mostly acting in different roles depending on their skills and expertise.

PACE - Police and Criminal Evidence Act: Established in 1984, a code of practice that regulates police powers and protects public rights.

Speaking to iNews, he said, “It’s a long time away from the wife and just a long time away from your own bed. It wouldn’t be fair me asking my wife to move to Scotland and then me going to work and her being left. It’s a lot easier for her when I’m away if she’s got family around her."

Speaking about his life outside of the show, Martin has revealed one of his favourite pastimes is to clean his pool.

He said, “It’s an incredible feeling when you’re from Greenock and you can get your family over to stay and you’ve got a pool out your back. The most therapeutic thing in the world is cleaning your pool — walking about mopping up leaves."

Congrats!
