After a very busy and very successful 2017, Little Mix have been taking a couple of months out before heading back into the studio. Now Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson have confirmed they are back in the studio working on their fifth studio album!

Taking to the group's Twitter account they confirmed they had started working on their new album, 'It's official...#LM5 is actually in the works... 😮 We're going to be patiently waiting for this one, it's going to be an absolute dream! 😍 LM HQ x'.

After announcing they were back in the studio fans have been calling on the girls to do collaborations with some of the biggest acts around, including Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles and Dua Lipa.

Flocking to Twitter with their suggestions one fan told the group to, 'COLLAB WITH ARIANA PLEASE'.

Whilst another said, 'COLLAB WITH DEMI LOVATO, BECKY G, ARIANA GRANDE, HARRY STYLES, DUA LIPA AND PABLLO VITTAR PLEASE!!!!!'.

Others have suggested a collaboration between Little Mix and Fifth Harmony would be the ultimate collaboration.

Currently we don't know a lot about Little Mix's new album, which known by the hashtag #LM5 on social media. However, in January singer RAYE revealed that she is working on the album. Speaking to the Daily Star when RAYE was asked what she was up to at the moment she replied, "The Little Mix album, I've been writing for that. For every 10 guys there's one girl, everywhere you go." She went on to explain that it's important for girls to support each other in the music industry.

"It's very overwhelming and I think it's really important that girls have started to support each other more, all becoming friends, and it's like a community. It's so important," she said.

"I think we need more female collaborations because it isn't enough."

Last month Leigh-Anne previously revealed on a red carpet interview that she and the girls would be back in the studio soon. Speaking at the Nailing Mental Health Valentine’s Day Gala the Little Mix star said, "So we've got the new album coming out this year which is really exciting.

"We start writing it... basically, March, when we get back to work. Then the tour will follow the following year. Basically, we've got our lives planned out for the next two years, but it's great."

We also caught up with Leigh-Anne and the girls on the red carpet of The BRIT Awards where Leigh-Anne was wearing an eye-catching outfit. We just had to ask her about her choice of outfit.

Little Mix are due to embark on another tour later this year called the 'Summer Hits Tour' and will include a number of outside venues around the UK.

The girls recently announced TWO support acts for their tour, Australian sister trio Germein and winners of The X Factor 2017 Rak-Su.

Rak-Su, made up of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, Myles Stephenson and Mustafa Rahimtulla, won the show last year after winning over the public with their original songs.
