Simone Holtznagel has hit back at critics after a recent lingerie advert she featured in has been described as 'vulgar' and 'amateur porn'.

The runner up from Australia's Next Top Model 2011 series appears in a raunchy video advert which was featured on large screens inside Bras N Things, an Australian lingerie shop.

Complaints were made by members of the public about the sexual nature of the advert which shows Simone wearing racy underwear including lacy bras, knickers, corsets and stockings, while the camera pans across her body slowly.

According to the Australian Advertising Standards Bureau (AASB) displaying the advert on large screens meant it was "unavoidable" to anyone walking past - including young children.

The AASB went on to say that the advert "draws the eye of passers-by" and that the way the model strokes her hair and moves her body "amounts to a sexualised impact".

However Simone has responded to these comments on Instagram saying, "Honestly, it's just soooo offensive to show a confident, sexy WOMAN in her LINGERIE in the window of a (plot twist) - LINGERIE STORE!!!!"

She goes on to say,

"I see people wearing less on the street and in shopping centers these days and this woman is complaining about a tasteful, beautiful advertisement which is not only showcasing the gorgeous lingerie but also showcases body confidence and embracing the feminine form!"

Supporters of the model have come out in force on Instagram commenting on the video saying, 'Amen sister! Every woman should feel that confident when donning some beautiful lingerie.'

With another user saying, 'It's not like porn at all because you are not an object, you show confidence, personality and agency.'

The video has now been removed from Bras N Things and replaced with still from the video.
