We all know how much the Line of Duty cast and crew love filming here in Belfast.

They're not shy when it comes to a proper night out in the city either. Locals would regularly spot the iconic trio visiting the cobbles Cathedral Quarter streets.

Ahead of the final episode of series 6, show creator Jed Mercurio shared some unseen throwback snaps. Martin Compston (DS Steve Arnott) replied to a pic of Bedford Street's Invest NI building: "This became an essential location in Belfast. Nearly as important as The Spaniard, Liquor and The Merchant when we’re feeling fancy."

This just proves how much they love the capital's craicing nightlife!

One landmark pub in particular has celebrated the success of the show, as it was recently named the most-watched drama series of the century 🤯

The Duke of York has honoured the stars by reserving an area at the bar, complete with their own shiny gold plagues.

The Spaniard, The Duke of York and The Harp Bar made the difficult decision to remain closed during the pandemic. Some of Belfast's most popular struggled to provide outdoor seating that complied with council regulations.

However now that the indoor hospitality is permitted, the doors are back open and pints are being poured as we speak!

The team have been busy these last few months getting things ready, including a fantastic mural to celebrate local stars of stage and screen.

There's even a mention for the 'wee donkey' 🤣

It's fair to say Adrian Dunbar (Superintendent Ted Hastings) has given us some cracker lines throughout the six series of the show.

The Northern Irish police officer adds unique charm to the sometimes-menacing anti-corruption unit.

Take a look back at some of his most impressive quotes:

“There’s only one thing I’m interested in and that is catching bent coppers”

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey"

“Frankly son, right now, I couldn’t give a s---”

“You’ve got a bloody nerve”

“Now we’re sucking diesel”

“For years, the security in this department has been watertight… then you come along, suddenly we’re leaking like a colander”

“She’ll be laughing on the other side of her face when I’m finished with her”

“Now we’re cooking with gas!”

“She’s cooked her goose now”

“Houl yer whisht”

“Mother of God”

“I didn’t float up the Lagan in a bubble”

“None of my people would plant evidence. They know I would throw the book at them – followed by the bookshelf”

“No more beating around the bush, we raid Operation Lighthouse”

“We've been round the houses Steve. Round the houses and down the bloody drains"

“Gotcha a big pint of that cats’ p--- that you young fellas seem to like so much”

“Go back to the coal face, the pair of you, unless you’ve got more egg-sucking tips for your Granny”

“Don't talk to me about victimisation, nobody's blacker than me, son"

“You were going like the clappers”

“God give me strength”

“That’s us now”

“I think you should sit down, fella. Or I’ll handcuff you to that desk”

“You look like a couple of kids who’ve been caught robbing an orchard”
