Singer Kylie Minogue and American reality star Kylie Jenner are currently in a dispute after the reality star tried to copyright the name Kylie.

The 18-year-old star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is seeking protection of the name “Kylie” so she can use it in connection with advertising for her growing brand, but she won’t get it without a fight as Minogue’s reps have filed a notice of opposition.

The ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ singer’s reps claimed it would cause confusion of her brand and even branded Jenner “a secondary television personality.” Ouch.

Team Minogue didn’t stop there, going on to highlight the controversial goings on in the teenager’s life and confirming they already own the domain name of Kylie.com.

In light of the dispute, the Australian beauty seemed to address the situation in a Twitter post which she captioned a line from her hit 2000 song ‘Light Years’, writing “Hello… My name is Kylie.

Kylie Minogue has been a household name since starring on Australian soap Neighbours in 1986. After that she launched a music career which has lasted nearly 30 years. In comparison Kylie Jenner has only gained notoriety in the last couple of years.

We know who how money is on in this fight!
