Jeff Goldblum shares first Independence Day: Resurgence teaser & photo!
The sequel hits cinemas next summer
Acting legend Jeff Goldblum joined Facebook over the weekend and immediately starting sharing teasers for his the Independence Day sequel.
Set 20 years after the original Independence Day movie, the Roland Emmerich directed follow-up sees a fresh task force of aliens descend upon planet earth and threaten the very existence of mankind.
Jeff revives his role as nerdy computer expert David Levinson in the movie and stars alongside a galaxy of characters battling to save the planet including Liam Hemsworth, Bill Pullman and Maika Monroe.

On his very first post, Jeff posted a behind-the-scenes pic of Liam Hemsworth photobombing him while boarding a fighter jet.
Jeff wrote: “So there I was thinking about how I would save mankind when this guy photobombs me. Oh, why hello Facebook, nice to finally meet you. #IDR”
His second post was a 12-second tantalising teaser for the sci-fi movie along with the caption: “We thought we wiped them out. The Resurgence is here. #IDR”
Independence Day: Resurgence hits cinemas across the world next summer exactly two decades after the original.
The first Independence Day movie was a huge box office success raking in $817.4million (£529.74million) across the globe.
