Gemma Atkinson delighted fans up and down the country earlier this month when she announced she was pregnant. The 34-year-old, who has been dating Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez since last year, announced the wonderful news on Instagram in an adorable post featuring her dogs Norman and Ollie.
The heartfelt caption read, 'And what Amazing big brothers they will be! Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already ❤️🤰 @gorka_marquez.' sic
Former Emmerdale star Gemma has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy since the announcement, and her most recent post has delighted fans as she has given her followers the first glimpse of her baby bump.
Well known for her love of fitness, Gemma has shared a video on how she's altered her workout routine since becoming pregnant, writing all about it in the caption, 'Today’s workout was done at home. I did a 30 min circuit using mainly my body weight (because my baby is heavy enough) 😂.'
Revealing that she was tracking her heart rate to ensure it 'stays in the safe zone' for her and the baby, she added that she's been "cleared by my doctor, midwife and Evil Steve to do these exercises," warning readers that it's imperative to get clearance from a doctor before exercising whilst pregnant.
She continued, 'I’m actually enjoying training for my baby as opposed to just me and these simple moves, I’ve found have become my go to when training alone at home,' before advising fellow mums-to-be not to compare themselves to others.
She wrote, 'I've made that my number 1 rule! I’m just listening to my body, making note of how tired I am and making my exercise choices daily based on that. I have 2 reformer Pilates sessions next week and 2 sessions with Evil Steve and that’s enough for me.'
Fans were in love with the post, and praised Gemma for having such a positive attitude. One wrote, 'Wow cute bump you're going to be a great mum', as another added, 'So nice to see the bump Gemma!' and one other wrote, 'You look amazing.... I hope you are very proud of yourself.'
