Facebook reactions are coming. Do you 'Like' this idea?

The way you 'like' something will be changing.

Facebook's most drastic change for years will be coming to a phone or computer near you.

According to the BBC founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed in a conference call with analysts that the 'Reactions' they have been trialling will be rolled out "pretty soon".

Having Reactions will allow users to be sympathetic towards their friends' statuses, for example if a pet has died you wouldn't want to like the status, but might want to show that you are sad using a 'sad' reaction.

After trialling different reactions around the world Facebook has whittled the hundreds of possibilities down to just six which are internationally recognisable, these are, 'love', 'haha', 'wow', 'sad' and 'angry' along with the existing 'like'.

Reactions that were trialled but not chosen include 'yay' which, although popular here in the UK was not universally popular or understood.

While there is a 'sad' and 'angry' option there won't be a 'dislike' button as Mark Zuckerberg has previously said he conveys too much negativity.
