Ellie Goulding steps in to help driver after a lorry pushes a car sideways down a road
It looks terrifying
Ellie Goulding is the unsuspecting hero after she witnesses a car being pushed sideways down a road by a Royal Mail lorry. In a video that has gone viral, the 'Anything Could Happen' singer can be seen wearing a black jacket as she walks over the car driver leaning in to check on him.
Ellie later took to her Instagram Stories, telling her fans, 'Was just sent this- I'm the one in the car checking if this guy was ok- craziest thing I've ever seen on the road. Every was driving past but my driver Guy stopped. Drive safe and look out for others everyone!!'
The pop star continued in a second story, 'On a side note, I can't believe the first instinct of the other drivers who got out was to instantly start filming on their phones and short abuse at the poor shocked driver, not even checking the other driver was ok. What on Earth :-('. sic
In the video that has been circulating, the lorry travels some distance before he is stopped and other drivers start shouting at him. After realising what's happened the lorry driver gets out to check and is astonished to see the car in front of his lorry saying, "I didn't see him, I honestly didn't see him."
According to the Met Police no one was hurt in the incident.
A Royal Mail spokesman said, "We are very concerned about this incident. We sincerely hope that no one was hurt. We are investigating as a matter of urgency."
