Love Island's Ekin-Su confirms Davide relationship status
Rumours have been rife they were back on
Fans of ITV2 dating show Love Island were left devastated back in June when King and Queen Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti announced they'd split, with Italian model Davide breaking the news.
Despite Ekin-Su eventually breaking her silence to thank fans in July, rumours have been rife in recent weeks that the pair could be back on, after they were spotted getting in a car together following ITV's Summer party.
However, 28-year-old Ekin has now put the reconciliation rumours to bed, sharing a statement on Instagram to confirm the pair are not together, but are friends.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: ‘There’s been a lot of speculation over the status of myself and Davide’s relationship in recent weeks.
‘Usually these headlines are misleading.
‘I wasn’t taking a “swipe” at Davide like a recent article stated.
‘Despite the narratives, @davidesancli and I are on good terms, we both care about each other and I think everyone should respect that.’
‘Lots of love Ekin x’. (sic)

'I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible.' (sic)
After keeping a low profile on social media, Ekin finally responded to the break-up weeks later, writing: 'Hi everyone, I thought it was time to come back online to thank you so much for all your messages over the past 2-weeks. It has shown me what a kind, supportive, strong community I have behind me.
'I took some much needed time away with my family which has been really special but now it's time to realign and get back to work.
'I have such an exciting yeah ahead and I want to fully focus on that.
'I really appreciate your ongoing support. Thank you for cheering me on. Ekin x'. (sic)
