Ed Sheeran launches a campaign to get Security Kev to 1 million followers

Earlier this year Ed Sheeran's security guard, Kev, became an Internet sensation after his brilliant sense of humour and sarcastic posts on Instagram were noticed by the singer's fans. Now Ed has appealed for fans to follow Security Kev on social media with him hoping to reach 1 million followers, and he's nearly there!

Taking to Instagram Ed said, 'Operation get @securitykev to a million followers, he’s very close. He’s a picture of me feeding him his tea, he gets a bit aggy if he hasn’t had tea'.

Ed's fans have been quick to comment on his photo saying, 'I luv this relationship 💕😂', sic 'we love @securitykev', '👌👌' and 'Cuteness overload 😉😊'.

The pop star's security guard has posted just 86 times on Instagram, but has already gained 918K followers, mainly due to the popularity of his posts noticed back in April. Security Kev, real name Kevin Myers, regularly posts photos of himself with the 'Shape Of You' singer accompanied by witty captions, below are a few examples...
