They were one of the most talked about couples in the world of showbiz, so when Cheryl and One Direction singer Liam Payne announced their split in the summer of 2018, fans were left heartbroken.

Now, after Cheryl recently revealed she'd be open to using a sperm donor to have more children, the former X Factor judge has hinted that it was in fact Liam who ended their two-and-half-year romance.

Opening up about their relationship to The Telegraph’s Stella magazine, Cheryl said, "Who said it was me?” when asked about the reason for their break-up.

The mum-of-one then went on to reveal she's 'okay' about the split, admitting they have to put two-year-old Bear first.

She added, “It is what it is, and I’m okay about it. When you have a baby, you are not consumed with just thinking about yourself. It’s your responsibility to keep things settled and happy, so you make the best of everything. And we have.”

Cheryl, who has remained good friends with her ex Liam, also didn't hold back about her feelings towards the singer, gushing about his parenting skills.

She told the publication Liam is a 'great dad', despite admitting it's her who is the more strict parent. She said, “I’m the strict one; Liam isn’t. I’ll be the one saying, ‘Just one square of chocolate,’ but Bear is so good."
