Cheryl was the victim of an online hacking scam today (Monday 24th October) when online trolls used her account to hit out at One Direction singer Liam Payne.

Apparent hackers posted three photos out to Cheryl’s followers pretnding to be the star. The first image showed a printscreen of their Twtter account urging Cheryl’s followers to follow the page.

The posts then seemed to turn dark as they used foul language and satanic style images on her account. Leaving Cheryl’s fans in shock, the hackers shared a picture of an upside down cross with the caption ‘666 f*** Liam Payne’.

A third post with the words, ‘HAIL SATAN 666 B**** THAT’S WHAT WE DO’ appeared alongside the image of a 666 cross.

Fans of the former X Factor judge were quick to realise their idol had been hacked, one user wrote ‘Cheryl’s been hacked guys!’ with another begging Instagram to help her.

All three images have now been deleted, although Cheryl is yet to release a statement or post anything about the apparent hacking to her social media pages.

The former** **Girls Aloud star was granted a ‘quickie divorce’ from Jean-Bernard and was handed a decree nisi at the Central Family Court in London on Thursday 20th October.
