The Hills and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Brody Jenner has revealed he and his wife Kaitlynn Carter have split.

It comes after the pair got married last year in Indonesia, but the wedding was actually an unofficial ceremony, meaning the pair are not legally married.

A representative for the couple told E!, "Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to amicably separate. They love and respect one another, and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward".

TMZ have reported Kaitlynn wanted to make their marriage legally official and start a family. However, Brody allegedly did not want either.

The news of their split comes after Brody recently admitted on The Hills: New Beginnings that the pair have opposing views.

He said, "While I don't have kids, I'm gonna pretty much do what I wanna do and live for myself, as opposed to live for another human being.

"I think that's why she wants kids, she wants me to change in that way".

The wedding, which was held on Sumba Island in front of family and friends last year, also hit a few hurdles, after Brody revealed his half sisters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner never RSVP'd to his wedding invite.

Speaking to People magazine last year ahead of his wedding, he said, “We sent them an invite but we just never heard anything back. They’ll be missed. I would have loved to have had them there".

It was also reported by People magazine that Caitlyn Jenner didn't attend the wedding. A source said, “Caitlyn has work commitments that have been set up for months and couldn’t be changed in the end". However, she did attend Kaitlynn's hen party.

We hope both are OK!
