You won't believe what BGT star Hollie Steel looks like now 😱
She's unrecognisable!
Author: Alex RossPublished 8th Aug 2019
She was the 10-year-old girl who delayed the Ten O'Clock News back in 2009, after being given a second chance by Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent, but that didn't stop singer Hollie Steel going on to major things!
Despite impressing the judges during her audition, Hollie forgot her lyrics in the live semi-final, with the youngster bursting into tears on the stage. Now, an unbelievable ten years on from THAT memorable performance, Hollie has appeared on Lorraine where she shocked viewers with her 'grown-up' look.
Hollie, who is now 21-years-old, told stand-in host Christine Lampard, “I’m so thankful he did make that happen, if he didn’t, I probably wouldn’t be singing now. I’m still singing, it’s my passion, so thank you Simon! It’s never happened before, how crazy is that, I pushed back the Ten O’Clock News."
Since her memorable audition on Britain's Got Talent, Hollie has kept herself busy with her singing. As well as performing on cruise ships, the talented 21-year-old has also starred in Grease the musical.
Speaking about the role, Hollie said, "I was playing Frenchy in Grease. We had so many rehearsals, 10 weeks of rehearsals and then we got on the ship and it was just work, work, work – but I loved it so much. It was my first professional job as an adult.”
When asked what is next for her, Hollie added, “Musical theatre, dancing, singing and acting, I love it. I would love to be Christine in Phantom of the Opera."
The show, which will see past contestants return for the ultimate crown, will hit our TV screens in August, with ITV writing on Twitter, 'Let the battle commence! 💪 Britain's Got Talent: The Champions starts this August on @ITV and @WeAreSTV 👑 Which of these legendary acts are you excited to see again? #BGTChampions'. sic
We can't wait! 🙌
