The pair have been together for 21 years

Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm has become increasingly popular since it first hit our screens back in 2018, with viewers falling in love with married couple Amanda and Clive Owen, and their nine children.

The hit show documents the family living on their stunning sheep farm in Swaledale, with all 11 family members having set jobs and responsibilities to keep the farm in working order.

However, as mum Amanda releases her latest book, rumours have been rife in recent days that she's undergoing 'marriage troubles' with her husband of 21 years, Clive.

Following the recent speculation in the press, Amanda and Clive have released a joint statement, admitting they are going through a 'rocky patch'.

Speaking to PA Agency, the couple said: "With the TV show and the books we've always aimed to show the reality of life on the farm, and just like any marriage we have our stresses and strains, coupled with all the complexities of what we do on the farm and bringing up nine kids.

"We're a normal family and we've never said our marriage is perfect. Unfortunately, the constant intrusion into our lives from the media has amplified a rocky patch that we're going through," the couple told PA news agency.

"We ask that the media respect our privacy as we work through this."

Amanda and Clive first met back in 1996, when Amanda worked as a contract shepherdess on Clive's farm in Swaledale when she was just 21-years-old.

After love blossomed, the pair later married in 2000 and went on to have nine children together, Annas, Violet, Edith, Raven, Clemmy, Nancy, Reuben, Miles and Sidney.
