An 80-year-old Alzheimer's sufferer who became an internet star has landed himself a record deal after his son posted videos of him singing online.
Ted McDermott, who used to work at Butlins in Blackpool has been snapped up after his 'carpool karaoke' videos went viral.
Ted, who has become known as the 'Songaminute man', has been suffering from Alzheimer's for three years. As his son Mac explains on his JustGiving page, his Dad became progressively more violent, however, 'when we've got him singing again he's back in the room. It's these moments that we treasure.'
He's been signed by Decca Records and will record a version of Frank Sinatra's 'You Make Me Feel So Young'.
Mac posted the videos to raise ÂŁ1,000 for Alzheimer's Society - but so far they've raised over ÂŁ115,000.
