Wee Wizard weaves his magic again to break another NW record
Seeley seals 18th win and now targeting 28th podium finish
Another day … another Alastair Seeley record in the North West 200.
The Carrick rider, known as the Wee Wizard, simply can’t stop winning.
And last night, he sealed his 18th victory in the tournament, taking the Superstock race title – and setting a new lap record in the process.
And even more records could fall tomorrow in the main Race Day.
Seeley has the chance to equal Phillip McCallen’s record of 28 podium finishes when he takes part in the Supertwin race.
Michael Rutter (45) is also on 28 – after finishing runner-up in the Supertwin race. Another rider celebrating is Martin Jessop from Somerset. He won a Supersport and Supertwin double.
Meanwhile, popular six-time winner John McGuinness who crashed out at Primrose Corner is recovering in hospital with a broken leg.
The Morecambe rider has had surgery on his tibula and fibula bone – and was today in a stable condition.
