The Kingspan Stadium will usher in a new era in rugby tonight – with the first game of the new PRO14 format kicking off.

Ulster face one of the league’s new South African sides – the Cheetahs.

Among the new faces making their competitive debuts for the Province are Christian Lealiifano, Jean Deysel and John Cooney.

Chris Henry will captain the side for the night with the front five made up of Kyle McCall, Rob Herring and Wiehahn Herbst in the front row and Robbie Diack and Alan O’Connor paired in the second row.

Ulster Director, Les Kiss is not underestimating the challenge ahead – particularly after last season’s disappointments.

“I think the Cheetahs will come and play rugby – they are an exciting team,” he said.

“It will be a massive challenge for us.”

Kick-off, 7.45pm
