Ulster back in the groove
Pienaar the star as locals pick up two bonus wins in a row
Ulster’s poor season is looking a little better now – after two consecutive bonus wins in the PRO12.
Saturday’s superb 37-17 victory over Glasgow at the Kingspan helped banish some memories of what has been a miserable run so far.
But the turnaround could be on, certainly if this performance is anything to go by.
The locals were in the driving seat from the whistle with try-scoring Ruan Pienaar, back in the side from injury, outstanding.
Director of Coaching, Les Kiss, praised his side for their spirited display.
“The boys just had that appetite to go at them and not just to close up shop and play safe,” he said.
“We challenge ourselves to get into that space where we express our skill sets.”
They are currently fifth in the table and now face three games against Italian sides.
