European Cross Country Champs: Tyrone teenager Nick Griggs wins Silver in U23 race

Country Tyrone teenager, Nick Griggs, has won Silver in the Under-23 race at the European Cross Country Championships in Antalya, Turkey.

Griggs (19) from Newmills was pipped to the Gold medal by Great Britain's Will Barnicoat.

Competing for Team Ireland, he finished the 6.3k course in 18.28.

It was the teenager's first appearance in the Under-23 event.

Last year he won Bronze in the U20 race.
