Linfield moved to the top of the Danske Bank Premiership table after a 4-1 win away to Warrenpoint last night.

The Blues lead the way on goal difference – with Coleraine, the only Irish League side with maximum points this season, playing later today.

New signing Louis Rooney helped himself to a double following his debut hat-trick several weeks ago.

Aaron Burns and Mark Stafford completed the scoring.

The Point will be rueing a number of missed chances after Martin Murray’s early strike left the scoreline at 1-1.

Matthew Tipton’s side are second from bottom with just three points – and it could be even worse for them by the end of today.

Ballinamallard will climb off the foot of the table with a win at home over Ballymena.

Elsewhere, Glentoran are at home to Coleraine, Glenavon play Ards at Mourneview Park while Crusaders meet Dungannon Swifts at Seaview.

Finally, Carrick entertain Cliftonville.

All of the games kick off at 3pm.
