Rea on podium in Superbikes opener in Catalunya
Jonathan Rea was third in race one of the World Superbikes round in Barcelona on Saturday.
Championship leader Alvaro Bautista eased to a win however. The Spanish rider led from start to finish to secure his ninth win from 10 outings this campaign.
Rea's result does however move him up to fourth in the standings, with Bautista increasing his advantage at the top to 61 points.
The sprint event and race two will follow on Sunday.
