Slovenia all but put an end to Northern Ireland's hopes of making the European Championship finals with a 4-2 win in Ljubljana.

Isaac Price levelled for the visitors after Andraz Sporar's early opener for the hosts.

Petar Stojanovic's deflected goal restored Slovenia's advantage however.

Benjamin Sesko claimed Slovenia's third on 41 minutes to give the team a two-goal advantage.

Jonny Evans pulled one back in the second half but Sporar notched his second in the 56th minute to end Northern Ireland's hopes of a comeback.

The result means Northern Ireland are seven points off qualification at the half-way point of Group H.

They have just one win in five matches and are second from bottom.

Northern Ireland are next in action on Sunday afternoon with a visit to Kazakhstan.
