The Republic missed the chance to go top of their Nations League Group B1 after drawing 1-1 with Ukraine in Poland.

A first-half wonder goal from Nathan Collins put Stephen Kenny's side in the lead but shortly into the second half Artem Dovbyk's close-range finish gave Ukraine a share of the spoils and denied the Republic a first-ever away win in the competition.

The result means they are now third in the table with Ukraine leading the way.

Having beaten second-place Scotland 3-0 in their last game, confidence continues to be high in the camp. The two sides will meet again in September.
