Michael Conlan: Belfast boxer in confident mood as he prepares for world title fight
Belfast boxer Michael Conlan has promised fans he will be a world champion by tomorrow (Saturday) night.
The 30-year-old who has won all of his 18 bouts to date, takes on Leigh Wood in his home town of Nottingham for the WBA Featherweight title.
Wood is the current holder of the crown and made his first defence in July when he stopped China's Zu Can in 12th round.
Conlan says he is the best shape of his career and is determined to bring the coveted belt back to Belfast.
The fight takes place at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on Saturday March 12th.
